Dr. Nicholas (Nick) Michalski earned his doctorate from the University of Wyoming Psychology and Law Lab which focuses on applying psychological principles to decisions made in the legal system. He has conducted empirical research projects focusing on the influence of individual characteristics, emotion and visual evidence on juror decision-making. Several these projects have been published in academic journals and presented at conferences.
While at the University of Wyoming, Nick gained extensive training and experience in every facet of research methodology, including survey construction and statistical analysis, data interpretation and reporting. In furthering his statistical knowledge, he obtained a graduate minor in Statistics and served as both a teaching assistant and tutor in the Statistics department.
Nick believes that empirical research is a beneficial and essential tool in understanding jurors’ decision-making processes and providing clients with the most effective trial strategies.
